It's been a long time since my last blog entry, but I've been super busy - in a good way. Taking the time away from the site to instead focus on polishing my skills, figuring out a new-ish vision for where I want to take this business, and focusing on client work has been great - but I've been itching to really kick this site, and this blog, up a notch!
That said, I introduce... my very first Family Friday post. :)
I have worked with the Copeland Family since January 2014, when they were expecting little Shepard that month. Ever since, I've gotten to shoot with them maybe two or three times with him, and it has been a joy every time - that smile is infectious, and the camera loves him.
Here are just a few of the shots from my most recent session with them, plus the newest member of the family: another little boy who is due to arrive at the end of February! Our Cooper's Rock Park Overlook plans were thrown when we saw that they had not yet cleared the snow, and the park's gates were closed to cars... but we made it work regardless, by using the space in front of the gate. Our location was packed with snow that was quickly melting in the beautiful sunny day that we had for the session (which may have unfortunately ruined Devon's shoes for good - I hope not!) I especially love the shot where Shepard is kissing mommy's belly - a sure sign that he will be a fantastic older brother. Check it out below.
